Baltimore City: Annual Spring Cleanup
9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Baltimore City’s Annual Spring Cleanup is April 20, 2013. From 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., communities are encouraged to “Clean up Baltimore” by clearing debris in their neighborhoods. Department of Public Works Director Alfred H. Foxx reminds citizens that registration for the cleanup begins Tuesday, January 22, 2013.
“This is an opportunity for citizens to join together and keep Baltimore City clean,” says Foxx. “Clean streets and clean neighborhoods mean a cleaner Baltimore for everyone.”
Community representatives should call 311 starting January 22, 2013 to register and confirm their designated pick-up point. Sidewalks, gutters, storm drains, yards and alleys all need care. Remember to keep trash out of storm drains while cleaning up.
Prevent flooding and safeguard the health of the city waterways by calling 311 to report storm drains containing dirt, trash and debris.
